Rich Hussey, President and Chief Executive Officer
Richard (Rich) Hussey leads the development and implementation of the company's overall strategy and operations of thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology's businesses, which includes new installation, modernization, as well as service and repair in North and South America. He is also a member of the executive management committee for the parent company, thyssenkrupp Elevator AG.
He began his career at thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology in 1996 and held management and executive positions in finance in Massachusetts, California and Georgia. In 1998, Rich was named chief financial officer of thyssenkrupp Elevator AMS Corporation and in 2009, he moved to Germany and served as executive vice president, operations – Europe. In 2011, he returned to the United States and was appointed to his current position of President & CEO BU AMS.
Rich worked in accounting and finance for KPMG, Needel, Welch & Stone and served as controller of Atlantic Data Service before joining thyssenkrupp. He holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Massachusetts and formerly served as president on the executive board of the trade association for the building transportation industry, National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII). Rich is married and has three children.
Steve Wedge, Chief Financial Officer
Steven (Steve) Wedge is responsible for accounting, finance, IT and supply chain for thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology. He also works directly with the executive team to develop strategy and execution of business and leads the implementation of global initiatives.
Steve joined thyssenkrupp in 2002 as the regional controller for the southeast region and was promoted to vice president of finance in the U.S. field in 2009. He was named chief financial officer in 2013. Steve began his career in Kentucky in 1991 in accounting, finance and managerial roles in the automotive and telecom industries.
From 1987 until 1990, Wedge served in the U.S. Army and continued his military service in the U.S Army Reserves until 1995. He earned a Bachelor of Science in 1995 and a Masters of Business Administration in information technology from the University of Kentucky in 2001. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant. He is married and has two children.
Jennifer Olmstead, Chief Human Resource Officer
Jennifer Olmstead is the human resources business partner for the thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology AMS executive leadership team. Her key areas of focus are to lead the development and execution of the human resources strategy in alignment with the business needs across the business unit. Jennifer serves as a liaison between thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology AG, thyssenkrupp North America and thyssenkrupp AG to ensure alignment on elevator specific, regional and global human resources initiatives.
Jennifer has over 20 years of human resources experience and prior to joining us in 2015, served as vice president, human resources at Osram Sylvania Lighting Americas. She also spent 14 years with Siemens Corporation holding executive human resources roles within different divisions.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota. In her free time, Jennifer likes to ride her motorcycle and explore her new home town of Atlanta.
